Tiberius Aerospace said it will make Ukrainian battlefield-validated technology available for manufacturing in the United Kingdom through its GRAIL platform, aiming to link frontline innovation directly to UK industry and accelerate production of defence systems.
“This approach enables the UK’s dual-use manufacturing base to scale production of systems that have been tested and validated in real operational environments,” wrote the company. “The arrangement will provide the foundations for and a methodology to rapidly incorporate urgent operational requirements emerging from frontline activity and, by leveraging the benefits of GRAIL, strengthen national resilience through fast-paced production, while supporting an ally and increasing export growth.”
GRAIL is an AI-based ecosystem that connects operational demand with manufacturers, allowing governments, primes, and smaller firms to collaborate in a continuous model rather than traditional program cycles. The platform is already listed on Tradewinds, a U.S. Department of Defense initiative focused on speeding procurement through data and analytics.
“Ukraine has shown us that modern warfare evolves in real time. Systems are adapted in weeks, not years, and effectiveness is proven under fire, not in theory,” said Tiberius CEO Andy Baynes. “On the ground, I saw engineers developing and deploying updates to weapon systems in days to counter rapidly shifting threats. If you’re not able to iterate at that speed, you’re not just slow, you’re obsolete. By making Ukraine-validated IP available on GRAIL for UK manufacturing, we’re creating a direct link from frontline innovation to British industry, thereby strengthening sovereign capability, supporting domestic jobs and accelerating production at home.”
The move follows policy changes that allow Ukrainian systems, proven in combat, to be exported and manufactured by allies. Tiberius said this creates a pathway for the UK to scale production using its domestic industrial base while incorporating lessons learned from active conflict.
Ark Robotics, which develops autonomous systems used in Ukraine, said the platform allows companies to move from field validation to scaled production more quickly by tapping into UK manufacturing capacity.
“Ark develops autonomous, affordable robotic systems built for rapid deployment and shaped by real operational feedback,” CEO Achi. “This constant pressure ensures our technology remains grounded in reality, driving clarity and reliability in our engineering. Through GRAIL, we can then access UK manufacturing capacity to scale production of these validated systems quickly and efficiently.”
Tiberius said the approach is intended to strengthen domestic capability, support jobs, and increase export potential, while addressing what it described as a mismatch between the pace of battlefield innovation and slower Western procurement processes.
