Good afternoon from the team at Resilience Media

We are excited to announce London Defence Tech Week, produced by Resilience Media. The first defence tech week in Europe, this is our response to the urgent need for technology and innovation to take a central role in defence and national security. London Defence Tech Week is built around European Defence Tech Hackathon and Future Forces Demo Day, alongside Resilience Conference. Denmark will offer €130 million in state-backed guarantees to support Danish companies investing in Ukraine’s defence industry, the Danish government announced. The initiative, run through Danmarks Eksport- og Investeringsfond (EIFO), will cover up to 70 per cent of investments made by Danish firms in Ukrainian defence enterprises.

The move is designed to reduce the financial risk for Danish manufacturers entering Ukraine’s defence sector, while also allowing those companies to work with Ukrainian firms experienced in active combat conditions. Read John Biggs’ most recent piece here.

In Ukrainian Startups vs Hybrid Threats, our writer in Ukraine, Oleksandr Ihnatenko, meets three Ukrainian startups that are confronting hybrid threats from multiple angles. The piece builds on the panel, Building Global Resilience Against Evolving Hybrid Threats and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference, which was one the most captivating discussions held at the Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum. The panel brought together Ukrainian officials who act against Russian influence operations, Ukrainian startups supporting them in this mission, and foreign experts looking to learn from the Ukrainian experience. Read the full piece here.

We still have a few early bird tickets for Resilience Conference available here.

Technology and National Security Conference, co-hosted by MIT Sloan and Harvard Business School: April 4-5 2025, Boston. This year’s theme, “Adapting in a New Era of National Security,” underscores the urgency of responding to rapid geopolitical shifts and technological advancements. From the conflict in Ukraine to rising tensions in the Middle East and China’s growing influence, the global security landscape demands adaptation across battlefields, the defence industrial base, and public and private sectors. Progress has been made, but much work remains. Together, we must rise to the challenge. Ticket link: https://lnkd.in/e8tA_t73
