Those of you who attended Resilience Conference in London will remember that we asked Eveline Buchatskiy, Managing Partner, D3 to open the conference with a reminder of how hard things are right now in Ukraine. That is the context in which we are all working and we mustn’t forget that.
In particular, the lack of interceptors means Ukraine is struggling to defend against constant war crimes committed by Russia, which bombs civilians and critical infrastructure every day and night. This is made worse by Trump’s attempt to deflect blame for higher fuel prices in America due to his war in Hormuz by buying Russian diesel and funding these attacks on Ukraine.
Ukraine is currently a pawn in a geopolitical game. Civilians are being killed every night so Putin and Trump can try to cling on to power and money. At the cutting edge of this fight are the Ukrainian military. At Resilience Conference London we welcomed a speaker from Ukraine’s now legendary Khartiia Corps, one of the Ukrainian National Guard Corps that has so valiantly defended the country against Russia.
As we said in our own opening speech at the conference, if we don’t have Ukraine on our side in the next war, we will lose. For Ukraine to be on our side in any future conflict, they must not lose the war with Russia. If Russia takes over Ukraine, it takes over arguably the world’s most advanced military. This is why it is in each of our personal interest to support the Ukrainian military.
The Brigades and Corps run their own fundraising campaigns to buy the equipment they need to defend against Russia. This funding supplements procurement budgets and allows brigades and units to buy what they need quickly.
Eveline and the Khartiia Corps are running a fundraising campaign and we are asking our readership to show their support for Ukraine in the most direct and impactful way: by contributing to that campaign. Khartiia Corps are raising $150,000 for the 21st ‘Lava’ Unmanned Systems Regiment, specifically to buy three Backfire UAVs that carry up to 19 kg on a 180 km round trip, an AI server for video analysis, and batteries and tools for the regiment’s own Bumblebee and Hornet drones. This is very real. These are the tools they need to defend their country from Russia, and we need to support this now to help them ride out the chaos caused by the midterm elections in America.
This funding makes a very real difference. It directly saves lives. Also, each donation sends a tangible message to those friends of ours defending Europe from Russia that we are still there by their side, willing to act directly. This makes a real difference to their morale and matters as they move into a winter war.
Last year, Resilience Media raised €50,000 for an air defence brigade after they spoke at Resilience Conference London 2025. This allowed them to rebuild their drone R&D centre which had been destroyed by a Russian missile. They send us updates about how this helps them shoot down Shaheds and save the lives of civilians.
At our conferences, the Ukrainian military speakers receive a standing ovation, we thank them, shake their hands, and afford them all the respect and reverence they deserve. But none of that makes a tangible difference. You can help fight this war by funding their hardware. Then you are actively part of the solution.
We ask you all to support the D3-Khartiia Corps fundraiser, and to give generously. Whilst we have the luxury of being in safe, warm cities, Ukrainian soldiers will spend this winter in freezing fields fighting Russia. Send them the equipment they need, and send them a message that you personally are by their side.
Please donate to this campaign. Please contribute using this link, and please share it widely with your networks.
