Air defence systems are costly and often ill-suited to counter the growing mix of drones and cruise missiles now shaping modern conflict. Cambridge Aerospace develops interceptor systems designed to tackle both unmanned and crewed aerial threats at scale. Skyhammer targets cruise missiles and larger platforms, while Starhammer is built for higher-speed threats. The company is also developing its own solid rocket motor capability to support production and supply resilience. Backed by investors including Accel and Lakestar, Cambridge Aerospace is positioning itself to offer more scalable, affordable air defence as threat volumes rise. PS
